Capercaille (Tetrao urogallus urogallus).

Popularly known as the "cock of the woods", the capercaille is found throughout Europe......from Scandinavia through to north-west Siberia. It was introduced into Scotland, where it soon became popular amongst the fly dressers......wings for Black Alders...whilst the speckled white tipped cock tail feathers make superb winging materials for salmon flies.
