The Spin Fly Tantalizer

Designed by Ron Taylor in 1978 solely because, as a Sea Trout addict, he hated resorting to a spinning rod when his favourite River Dovey became too coloured with flood water to be fished successfully with a fly rod. His Spin Fly Tantalizer proved enormously successful, so much so that its use is prohibited on many waters.

The lure consists of a thin aluminium blade, bonded on to a plastic lined aluminium tube. The lure only weighs 0.5gms, and can therefore be cast on the lightest of fly rods, and actually spins on the leader. Designed to be used as an enhancer to your favourite tube flies, it is also very useful to a beginner learning to cast a fly, as the tantalizer whirrs whilst travelling through the air...when the whirring stops...that is the time to start your forward cast
